Tenth IRS outreach program concludes at Aligarh Muslim University

Participants of the X IRS outreach program with AMU Registrar Group Captain Shahrukh Shamshad at the Department of GeologyALIGARH, April 19- Group Captain (Retd) Shahrukh Shamshad, Registrar, Aligarh Muslim University distributed certificates to the participants of 10th IRS outreach program in Advance Course of “GEOWEB Services-Technology and Application” conducted by IIRS, Dehradun and sponsored by NNRMS, ISRO, Department of Space. Forty-six faculty members, research scholars and PG students of Geology, Computer Science, Zoology, Wildlife and Civil Engineering successfully completed the course.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shamshad congratulated the participants and urged them to attain excellence in their fields of studies and bring laurels to the Alma Mater. He praised the efforts of Professor Liaqat A K Rao for organizing such courses for faculty members and students.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Professor LAK Rao, Edusat Coordinator, said that the participants have greatly benefitted from the programme. He hoped that the short term course would provide basic information, motivation and leverage to the participants to apply for jobs in space technologies.

Professor Abu Talib conducted the programme. Professor Mehshar Raza, Dean, Faculty of Science and Chairman of the Department, Professor AHM Ahmad, Professor MEA Mandal, Dr M Shamim Khan, Dr Abdullah Khan and Dr Ziaur Rehman were also present on the occasion.
