SRINAGAR, Mar 15- The auditions that were to be held from today have been postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions as well as the imposed curfew at many places. Fresh audition dates have been now announced and the auditions will now be held from 22-24 March 2013 at Hotel Shahenshah Palace, Boulevard, Dal Lake, Srinagar.
Slated to be the biggest event in the Heart of Kashmir and in the city of Lakes and Shrines, Pa Ma Ga Re Sa 2014 aims to showcase the most captivating and soulful singing content. Through this show, we are in search of a super talented singer from Kashmir who will be given a platform to reach out to the outer world beyond this paradise. And the winner is going to bag a project in Bollywood in one of the upcoming projects that we have tied up with certain production houses including Eon Films, Qrius Films and others.
Deeshen Talent Company is floated by the young and enthusiastic Parul Kapoor – A Media personality and an award winning choreographer to promote the talent of this paradise and offer them a platform to reach out to the world at large. Starting off with Pa Ma Ga Re Sa 2014 – a singing reality sensational show, DTC aims to do a lot of shows in various fields including those in the world of fashion and modelling.
“In this give-it-your-best singing reality competition – Pa Ma Ga Re Sa 2014 – we are all set to create a national singing fascination from Kashmir. Yes, a voice that will rule the future – Kashmir’s future voice – and take it to Bollywood and the Punjab film industry. Through this show, we want to present Kashmir’s Nagina that will have the nation following. Also, the show is designed in such a way that it is sure to outpace any predecessor shows in the valley and make you feel just how original this concept is,” says Parul Kapoor, the woman whose brain child is this reality show.
DTC has tied up Film Cafe – a film production house who has a lot of award winning short films to their credit. Already making waves in the international short film circuit for their award winning short films, Film Cafe also harnesses fresh talent in the field of acting through their institute with the same name. DTC has also tied up with Eon Films who have consistently been making feature films in Hindi as well as regional languages including Hindi and Regional languages – right from commercial to thought provoking issue based subjects. Based in Mumbai, Eon Films is spearheaded by Mohan Das – a Director, Producer as well as member of the jury of many a international short film festivals.
“This tie up will help the winners to gain a strong platform and a foothold in Bollywood as the winner will get a chance to sing in our forthcoming project. Also as a part of this strategic tie up, the winner will also be given a platform to raise their quotient in the industry as well reach out to the world at large,” says Mohan Das of Eon Films and one of the noted judges on the show.
“A music show today needs innovation and Parul and me with others on board that include film directors, producers, music directors, singers and persons from the media, have worked on the innovative ideas that can aid the resurgence of this genre. I guess, it’s all about invention and reinvention and that is going to make this show a hit and a musical success,” says Ab. Rouf Mir, one of the directors of the organizing company.
Music can never die and the music reality genre is immortal. This show will take a leap forward as DTC is all set to explore and experiment this in Pa Ma Ga Re Sa 2014. It will also engage the singers in various singing formats before the winner can take home the coveted title. There will be competition between classical folk, Sufi and Punjabi as well as Bollywood music in this singing reality ka Maha Muqqabla.
“The show is sure to emerge as Kashmir’s most dynamic, and exciting event and our target audiences include the young, affluent city residents as well as enthusiastic local audience. And with a larger reach throughout the region via media & simulcast on channels, the show is sure going to go a few notches further,” says Shakun Kapoor, a novelist and a music enthusiast who has designed the format of the show and is one of the noted judges.
The Grand Finale of the show will be held at a notable venue mid May 2014 where noted judges from the music and film industry – especially Bollywood and the Punjabi Film Industry will be choosing the best talent from Kashmir. Designed to be a star celebrity-studded singing show, but at the same time, it’s designed as a grass root event to reach out to entire Kashmir. Through this event, we want to actively embrace and promote the next generation of singers whose voices will shape the future.
