JAMMU, June 03– Since the result of election is out, political party which lost in the Elections is blaming that the defeat of Azad Sahab was due to religious polarization which is totally baseless as per the percentage of the votes cast in Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur and Kathua.
A large number of voters voted in favour of BJP candidates. Even in the area where Muslim population is in majority, BJP was able to get a good share of votes even though Azad Shab has done a lot of development work for the area but then what went wrong that he lost the election with a margin of Sixty thousand votes? The reason behind it could be that Congress workers were not able to reach to the grass root or it is possible that they were overconfident that after nominating Azad Sahab from the area, no one will defeat him, While on the other side there was a wave of Modi and even the BJP workers were going from village to village which helped BJP a lot.
To save there faces, Congress workers are now blaming that votes were Polarised in the name of religion, if such is the case how BJP got good number of votes from DODA, Kishtwar and Bhadarwah. Is now Congress trying to divide the society in name of religion. As now the state election are coming, it will be good for congress to get to grass root and see what went wrong, rather then to put allegation or divide the society.
Jammu and Kashmir is such a region where voters never cast their votes on religious basis and it is a historical truth and fact.
