ALIGARH February 5: The host, AMU Girl’s High School team won the second Begum Sultan Jahan Memorial Inter School Volleyball Tournament defeating Al Barkaat Public School 2-1.
In the first match, AMU Girl’s High School beat Al Barkaat 25-17, while in the second match, Girls’ School lost to Al Barkaat 22-25. In the third and final set, Girls’ High School defeated Al Barkaat 25-17 registering a thumping win.
Chief Guest, AMU Registrar, Group Captain (Retd) Shahrukh Shamshad got introduced to the members of both the teams. Principal of the School, Mrs Amna Malik welcomed the guests. Mrs Afshan W Khan conducted the program and Mrs Arfeen Bano proposed the vote of thanks.
In the prize distribution ceremony, Prof Shadab Khursheed, president, Hiking & Mountaineering Club, Mr Syed Minhajur Rahman and Prof Aziza Hanfi gave away trophy and prizes to the winner team.
Prof Shadab Khursheed gave away Rs 1000 as prize to the winner team of AMU Girl’s High School for their excellent performance.
