Medal rush at special Games

ALIGARH December 23: The athletics team of Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Aligarh Muslim University bagged 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in the National Games-2013 of Special Olympics for the persons with disabilities, which was organized by Ministry of Youth and Sports and was held at Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Ms Firdaus Rahman, Principal of the School, said that the athletic team comprising five members, Sajjad Ahmed Dar, Abbas Raza, Owais Alam, Mohd Haider and Mohd Ibrahim bagged 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals and brought laurels to the school. She said that Mr Adil Jaleel, PGT, Commerce and Mr Siraj Sheikh were also awarded certificates for their commitment and service during the National Games.
