Arvind KejriwalNEW DEHI- A day after staking claim to form the government in Delhi with outside support from the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is “almost” decided on its first Cabinet.

Arvind Kejriwal, who will be sworn in as the seventh chief minister of Delhi, will have Manish Sisodia, Rakhi Birla, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Satyendra Kumar Jain, Somnath Bharti and Girish Soni as his ministers, an AAP leader said on Tuesday.

The leader, who did not want to be named, said Sisodia, 41, was likely to get an important portfolio. A former journalist, Sisodia, who won from Patparganj, is seen as 45-year-old Kejriwal’s closest aide.

The ministers are likely to take oath at Ramlila Maidan on December 26.

There was unease in some sections of the AAP over Vinod Kumar Binny’s name not figuring in ministerial discussions. Binny, 40 had defeated health minister AK Walia in Laxmi Nagar by around 8,000 votes.

Senior IAS officer Rajendra Kumar is tipped to become the principal secretary to Kejriwal.
